Every season I do certain things that I like to call my fashion rituals. These rituals are things I have done since I was a young girl. In February and August I like to buy a bunch of my favorite magazines and see all the new trends for the season. Some of my favorites are: In Style Magazine, Vogue Magazine, W Magazine, Nylon, Harper’s Bazaar etc… I like to have a mix of edgy and more commercial magazines for reference. . These mags are a great source of inspiration for me and I wanted to share 5 trends I would love to try this Fall season. So…Let’s Begin.

I am dying to try velvet this season. It may be later in the season, but I am obsessed with this trend. I’m seeing this trend everywhere from dresses to tops, from shoes to bags. I have found a few fun crush velvet fabrics so I’m looking forward to being inspired and creating some cool pieces to share.
I’m really inspired lately by all the high necklines and kimonos I have been seeing everywhere. This trend is something I want to get into a little bit more. I love the look of a kimono with some skinny jeans and a brocade loafer. The whole look is perfect so if you want some Asian Vibes, try this trend out!
Leather was huge last Fall but this year I am seeing leather everywhere. Whether it’s just an accent or a statement piece. It’s something to try! I work in an office setting so to see leather wearable for day makes me excited. I’m already thinking of ways I can style some of my current leather pieces for day time.
This is a trend that’s been going strong and I am wanting to incorporate it more into my wardrobe. I have a pair of track pants that are amazing, and I always get compliments on how I style them for work, so I’m leaning towards getting a few more pieces. This is a trend that I would like to somehow mix with the leather trend. I am also looking to get a simple cute pair of white sneakers. It’s something I’m on the lookout for, so if anyone has any suggestions, I’m open.
TEXTURE & SHINE
Later in this season I want to try pieces for the holidays with more texture & shine to them. I saw a lot of interesting pieces on the runways for evening wear that were innovative, so I would like to try this trend in a new way this season.
I would love to hear what’s inspiring you all for this Fall season, so drop me a comment and let me know what you are looking forward to.
