It’s been a while since I shared a design post here. Don’t worry! I’m still here. I know I live in Miami and it would seem, that Summer would be my most favorite time of year. However, I have always loved the Fall season. I’m a lover of the color black, jewel tones, and darker beauty looks. Naturally, I gravitate to Fall/Winter so I am eager to start designing some fun transition pieces. Summer to Fall in Miami is not the easiest because it’s still super-hot and muggy, but I can’t wait to show you some new new.
Also, wanted to take the time to share some tips on ways to transition your favorites Summer pieces into fall. Many of the pieces in your wardrobe are versatile and you don’t even know it. It’s quite amazing what you can do with what you already have. Check out my ideas below and tell me what you think.
If you are like me I love to wear cute little dresses all through the summer. As you move into Fall you can try throwing a solid color tee under one of your favorite floral dresses. You can also take it one step further and throw on a pair of ankle boots and you’re instantly updated to Fall.
So, if you have a cute little one-piece that can double as a body suit, you could easily throw a pair of high waisted jeans & heels on to dress it up. If you will be indoors you can toss a cute kimono over it or a light sweater to cozy it up.
OFF-THE SHOULDER TOP/DRESS
This trend was everywhere this summer, and if you are looking to still wear through Fall you got to be creative and put your styling to the test. You can turn your off the shoulders into peek-a-boos and throw a thick strap tank in a matching color under your tops/dresses. If you love scarves and you are in a cooler climate you can also opt for a printed scarf over a flowy OTS dress and call it good.
I think crop tops are going to be around for a while. So, for Fall go ahead and get creative with them. Thrown on a button-down blouse, or a cute turtleneck and mix n match colors and prints. You can pair this combo with some fun slacks or jeans and you have instantly made a statement.
I really like the 70’s vibe I get from palazzo pants. They are such statement makers that you can easily pair them with a long sleeve top, boat-neck, collared or turtleneck. Depending on what your style is, if you add some killer accessories, it could really give a great Fall vibe.
